Elegant Affairs :: Catering & Event Design

The Players, since 1888, is a private club located in a Greek revival townhouse in Gramercy Park. It was originally home to one of the great Shakespearean actors of 19th century, Edwin Booth. Today, his statue sits in the center of this historical park. He was also the brother of John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of Abraham Lincoln. It was this event that led Edwin to create The Players.

Elegant Affairs is the exclusive caterer for all of the on- and off-premise functions affiliated with The Players. At either your business or home, Elegant Affairs can accommodate a small group for a private sit-down dinner, a fabulous cocktail party or a formal seated dinner reception for any number of guests. The Players can oblige up to 120 guests for a sit-down affair with a dance floor and 150 without a dance floor. The room can also comfortably hold up to 350 for a cocktail party. The townhouse has 2 extra private rooms that can host up to 40 and 60 people for a sit-down dinner. One does not need to be a member of The Players to have a catered event with them.
